TRANSPORTATION PROGRAMS
The Administration Office in Elmhurst City Hall, 209 N. York, is a registration center for three (3) senior transportation programs: Applicants must apply in person and bring a license or state ID.
The Elmhurst Taxi Program allows Elmhurst disabled and senior residents 65+ to travel anywhere within the City limits for $1.40 each way for a limit of twenty (20), one way trips per month. Elmhurst taxi cards are issued in the Administration Office and given to applicants immediately.
The Pilot II Taxi Program (DuPage County) is a coupon based program that allows seniors 65+ and those disabled to travel anywhere in DuPage County at half price. Card Holders purchase coupons at a cost of $2.50 each. Coupons have a face value of $5.00 when used towards payment of a cab. Universal Taxi & 303 Taxi participates in the Pilot II – Taxi Program.
Apply for the RTA reduced fare program. The RTA Smart Card for Pace/Metra/CTA provides reduced price travel on fixed routes within a six county region that the RTA services.
A Passport sized photo can be taken at the Administration Office for $5.00 and is needed for all programs. Applicants must apply in person for all programs. For further information please call Elmhurst Administration Office at 630/530-3015.
